About this site.

Background

The Criminal CPD Library is a free, curated library of Continuing Professional Development papers for criminal law practitioners in New South Wales.

The library is built around the idea that CPD materials should be easy to find, properly organised, and freely available to every practitioner.

Papers are submitted by practitioners, barristers, academics, and judicial officers from across NSW. Every paper is reviewed before publication. The library is searchable by topic, author, and date, with subscriber notifications when new papers are added.

The library exists because of the generosity of the NSW criminal law community. The practitioners, barristers, academics, and judicial officers who contribute their work make this resource possible. We are grateful to learn from them.

The site is maintained by Lindsay Stankovic and Damien Mahon, partners of Liberato Defence Lawyers.

This is not a commercial website. It does not contain paid placements or sponsored content.

Acknowledgment of Mark Dennis SC

The Criminal CPD Library acknowledges the work of the late Mark Dennis SC, who founded and maintained CriminalCPD.net.au for many years. Mark was also a prolific contributor, authoring a significant collection of papers of his own. His commitment to making criminal law resources freely available to practitioners across New South Wales was a gift to the profession.

The Criminal CPD Library was created to ensure that Mark’s work in making these resources available and accessible will continue. Many of the papers published on this website were first presented at Reasonable Cause Conferences and published on criminalcpd.net.au. Those papers have been republished here with the authors’ permission and the support of Mark Dennis SC’s family.
